Depending on your needs and desired business practices, I can design a SEO contract that is either comprehensive or a la carte. If we're doing a comprehensive SEO package, I require a 3-6 month commitment on your part - simply because this is a usual time frame for seeing good results. At that point, unless you want to add more keywords to your arsenal, most companies move to an hourly consultant rate and only call me in for questions, concerns or when planning major site overhauls. Alternatively you may choose to 'pick-and-choose' your services based on your needs and/or budget at any one particular time.Here are some basic services I offer and a rough range of how much they cost:- SEO Site Review (always start with this) - $500-$3,000 depending on the size of your site. 90% that I do are $1,200
- Analytics/tracking set-up - $200-$500 depending on the refinement you want. eCommerce Conversion tracking on specialized platforms (Yahoo Stores,etc) is more. Non-Google Analytics setup is more and you'll have to pay for the tracking platform.
- On-Site Optimization (fixing your site's code, etc) - from $1,000 - $6,000 and up depending on the size of your site and what needs done
- SEO Content Building - $45-$90/hr depending on what's being created. Blog posts are inexpensive, website sales text is more.
- Social Media Marketing - This ranges wildly depending on the extensiveness you're looking for
- Newsletter Marketing - $100 per newsletter, depending on how much original work you need for it to be ready. Original artwork will cost more and (may) need to be outsourced depending on what your vision is.
- Manual Link Building - $45-$90/hr. Depending on what kind of links you want acquired. Much of this I find tedious, I usually won't take on this type of work unless it's part of a monthly package that includes content (blogging), social media, etc. (which is also cheapest)
- Viral Marketing - Depends on what you're looking to do. Widgets start at about $200, interactive quizzes at about $500.
Whether you've done a package or a pick-and-choose a la carte method, if you've done your initial consulting with me, I'll usually give you a deal on my base rate in recognition of the ongoing relationship we have (base rate starts at $90/hr and goes down from there depending on volume & longevity of the relationship). I always recommend that when you do periodic updates to your site, that you at least run your planned updates by me to make sure you're not changing anything that'll have a big impact on your rankings. It takes about 1/2 an hour of my time to check them all and compile a response, and it's money well spent.
