A SEO campaign helps people and companies show up better when someone does a search in Google and Yahoo!/Bing for them. While it's pretty easy to show up when someone searches for you by name, SEO techniques help you show up when someone searches for a term related to you or your business. What this means is that I help people who have websites (and occasionally just yellow-page style listings with no website) show up closer to the first position on the Google and Yahoo/Bing results for their given search term. What I do exactly- I start with a site analysis where I prepare a document that describes what is being done right/wrong with a website and where it currently stands in the rankings. Then I work with the site owner to create a plan to rank better given their budget and the size/competitiveness of the search terms they're looking to rank on. I then work with them and their webmaster(s) to optimize their site for the engines, discover and correct any issues causing penalties in Google, create good new content, create links to their website from other sites and thereby improve their rankings in the search engines.as much traffic per day because statistics show that most search users click on the first search term.
